VINTAGE QUILTS
All quilts come pre-washed unless otherwise stated or requested.
Wash only when necessary.
Fill a tub with lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent.
Soak quilt in tub for one hour.
Empty tub and refill with clean water. Agitate the water and swirl the quilt around gently to wash.
Empty and refill the water in the tub until the water is no longer soapy or runs clear.
Do not wring the quilt dry. To remove water, gently fold your quilt into a rectangle and press down. Be careful not to stretch your quilt.
Lay your quilt on a drying rack or on top of a clean sheet with a fan on. Allow to dry completely before storing or using it.
Fold or hang your quilt to display it. If storing away for a period of time, fold your quilt and wrap in clean cotton fabric or acid free paper. Do not keep it in direct contact with wood as the oils can stain your quilt. Refold your quilt every few months to reduce wear on the folds.
